The Mini Pony Show is a display of mini ponies which comprises all manner of trickery imaginable between the ponies, Rosie, and the audience! There’s fancy liberty footwork, dog agility ponies, a mathematician pony, a one man pony band, plenty of audience participation and even a death defying balancing act! With beautiful vintage inspired costumes, up-beat soundtracks and a plethora of razzle dazzle, The Mini Pony Show is an equestrian attraction like you’ve never seen before and we are delighted to welcome them to the 2025 Gower Show.
This year we will be welcoming participants in a gymkhana run by Amman Valley Pony Club. Come and cheer on your local pony club mounted games team as they battle in the ultimate test of speed, nerve and accuracy! Who will be victorious?!?
Rounding up the attractions in the President’s ring will be a show favourite, the display of fabulous Shire horses in all their glory.
A regular feature of Gower Show is the interesting display of working farm, industrial and model engines organised by Swansea Vintage Engine Club. A range of steam, petrol and diesel powered engines can be found in front of the trees, adjacent to the Vintage Vehicles Section. Many of these engines provided farmers with the power to run milking machines, shearing machines, water pumps, generators, saw benches and harvesting machinery to name but a few. In industry these engines powered drilling machines, lathes, textile mills and the like. From small to large, their proud owners have lovingly restored or kept these engines original to insure that an important part of our engineering heritage is saved. Once again the Gower Show will play host to a tug of war competition. But did you know that Tug of War is one of the most ancient games known to man and there is evidence that it was played across the ancient world including ancient Greece, Egypt and China. Also known as rope pulling, tugging war and war of tug, it remains today a popular sport that pits the strengths of two teams against each other and is practiced in some form in almost every country in the world. So come an cheer your favourite team from the side lines on show day.

We are pleased to announce, for the first time at The Gower Show the amazing display of Gwerin Y Gŵyr (Welsh: The Folk of Gower). Gwerin Y Gŵyr is a local group of Regia Angolrum (Latin: The Kingdoms of the English-speaking people). We have an Early Medieval re-enactment group who mainly portray Norse/Danish "Viking" peoples and Cymry culture between 850-1250. There will be numerous displays and interactions through out the day, this is not to be missed!
