Are you interested in joining the team that runs the Gower Show?  A vacancy has arisen for the position of General Secretary and if you think you have the skills required and are keen to support the agricultural community of Gower then this opportunity could be for you. 

The Gower Show is a one-day agricultural show held annually at Penrice Castle Park, Gower.  It has a long and rich heritage, attracting between 8,000 to 10,000 visitors on Show Day, the first Sunday in August, where people get a taste of rural life on Gower through the showing of livestock, machinery, crafts, and a wide range of activities connected with the agricultural community.  It is also an important day in the calendar for those involved in rural life to put on display their skills through competitions and demonstrations. 

The Show is organised and run by a team of loyal and dedicated volunteers, each with many years’ experience of delivering the Show Day event.  So, you’ll be joining an established team of people and will be well supported in your new part-time role for which you will be paid an honorarium.
